I am Aya Zimmo, a Palestinian accounting professional from Gaza. I have a PhD in Accounting, with experience as a Financial Manager, Chief Accountant, and freelance accounting and financial reporting consultant. My background combines practical accounting, financial analysis, remote consulting, university teaching, and professional training.

ACCOUNTING & FINANCIAL EXPERIENCE:
In my Financial Manager and Chief Accountant roles, I maintained accounting records, prepared and posted journal entries, performed bank reconciliations, investigated discrepancies, and completed month-end closing procedures. I also prepared financial reports, monitored cash flow, and supported budgeting and financial planning.

Through remote assignments, I help clients review financial records, organize supporting documents, analyze business performance, and prepare management reports.

My accounting software experience includes QuickBooks Online, Zoho Books, Xero, Qoyod, Daftra, and Odoo. I use Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Workspace for remote communication and collaboration.

INTERNATIONAL CLIENT EXPERIENCE:
I have served clients across Palestine, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Germany, Belgium, Canada, Malaysia, and the United States. My freelance assignments have included accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, and data-related support.

TEACHING & TRAINING:
I have delivered university-level accounting and finance courses, as well as practical training in electronic accounting, Excel, financial reporting, and digital tools.

Through the Gaza Bridge initiative, I trained and mentored more than 150 participants in electronic accounting, Excel, digital skills, and remote-work readiness. My teaching experience helps me explain financial information clearly and guide clients and colleagues through accounting processes.
